What is Tallow?
Tallow comes from rendered animal fat. While the idea of applying fat to your skin might seem unusual at first, it's a practice that our ancestors have trusted for generations! With a saturated fat ratio similar to our skin cells, tallow aids in healing damaged skin. Wild Crafted Tallow utilizes grass-fed/finished beef suet, rich in vitamins and nutrients, making it a remarkable skin remedy.
IMPORTANT: Our Tallow is sourced fresh from small farms in Southern Ontario. These farms prioritize ethical treatment of animals. They are pasture raised and consume their natural diets, resulting in highly nutritious Tallow.
Please note that pure Tallow may have a distinct aroma, as is common with animal fats, and may vary between batches. We do not chemically deodorize our unrefined Tallow to protect its nutrients and integrity, so the scent may differ depending on the animal and season.

Herbal Infused vs. Essential Oils?
Tallow can be enhanced in numerous ways, such as by incorporating herbs or essential oils. However, we've chosen to forgo essential oils because they require an extensive amount of plants to produce! Instead, we infuse our tallow with organically grown herbs that are free from pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides. These herbs not only deliver powerful nutritional benefits but also provide a sustainable way to boost the therapeutic qualities of our products.
What is the Shelf Life?
Our tallow products (whipped tallow butter + lotion bar) lasts up to a year when stored properly. Whether refrigerated for longevity or kept in a cool, dry place, its purity shines without preservatives or additives.
